MARVIN OKUMURA Obituary

MARVIN ROGER TATSUO OKUMURA Marvin Roger Tatsuo Okumura, 84, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, in Honolulu. Born April 26, 1940, Marvin lived a life defined by quiet strength, hard work, and love expressed through action. He was a man of few words but deep impacta devoted husband, father, and grandfather who led by example. As the owner of Marv's Auto Repair, he built a legacy of honesty, skill, and tireless dedication. Whether repairing a car, helping a friend, or caring for his family, Marvin showed his love in quiet, steady ways. He enjoyed fishing and target shooting, hobbies that reflected his patience and precision. Marvin is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Chad; daughter-in-law, Julie; grandson, Seth; sister, Trudy Takayesu; and niece, Trisha Takayesu. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at First Chinese Church of Christ (1054 S King St, Honolulu). Visitation at 10:00 AM, service at 11:00 AM. Marvin's legacy lives on in the quiet moments, the life lessons shared without words, and the steadfast love he gave to those around him.
