MILTON Y.H. SOO In Loving Memory of Milton Y.H. Soo: A Dedicated Attorney, Beloved Family Man, and Passionate Soul. Milton Y.H. Soo, a highly esteemed attorney known for his thoughtful actions rather than his words, passed away at his home on July 4, 2023, at the age of 77. Milton was a man of deep dedication, cherishing his relationships with friends and family, while demonstrating unwavering loyalty and fierce commitment to his work and clients. With an unparalleled work ethic and a heart of gold, he left an indelible mark on all those whose lives he touched. Milton's professional journey was marked by an insatiable curiosity and contagious enthusiasm for life. He graduated from the Iolani School Class of 1962 and pursued higher education at prestigious institutions such as Oregon State University, Willamette University and the University of Hawaii. He served as an Electrical Engineering Administrator for the Pearl Harbor Department of Defense and founded his own real estate company, M.S. Realty. Driven by his passion for law, Milton fearlessly pursued further education at the William S. Richardson School of Law, becoming a licensed attorney specializing in estates and trusts. His dedication to his craft was unparalleled. In addition to his professional accomplishments and profound commitment to his loved ones, Milton Y.H. Soo had a variety of passions that brought him immense joy and enriched his life. Among his many interests, he had a deep love for Hawaiian music, which resonated with his soul and filled his days with melodies that stirred his heart. As an adventurous and curious spirit, Milton immersed himself in the tranquility of fishing, and night diving. Milton also possessed a love for sports, particularly football, which fueled his competitive spirit and provided him with an outlet for camaraderie and excitement. Additionally, he held a deep admiration for the traditional Japanese sport of sumo, marveling at the strength and discipline exhibited by its athletes. As we remember Milton Y.H. Soo, we honor not only his accomplishments as an attorney and his devotion to his loved ones but also the passions that brought him immense happiness and made him the extraordinary person he was. May his spirit continue to inspire us to embrace our own passions and live life to the fullest. Milton is survived by his loving wife, Marian Soo, and will be fondly remembered by his step-children, Gregory Jay, Lisa Jay, and Brett Tanaka, as well as his step-grandson, Jay David Spendlove. A visitation to celebrate Milton's vibrant spirit and unique personality will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Diamond Head Mortuary, starting at 4:00 pm. In accordance with his wishes, no flowers are requested. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable attire and honor Milton's tradition of wearing "slippahs".
