Pauline Ramos Obituary

PAULINE SETSUYO RAMOS Age 89, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 16, 2025. Pauline was born in Honolulu and lived in Kaimuki where she graduated from Kaimuki High School in 1953. After graduation, Pauline enlisted in the Marine Corps where she worked as a clerk in Washington DC and moved up to the rank of Corporal. Pauline was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After being Honorably Discharged Pauline came home, worked for the Hawaiian Telephone Company during 1957-1962 as a Telephone Operator, Service Rep and Office Clerk and got married on February 16, 1958. In 1968 Pauline worked for Koolau Farmers in Kaneohe for 10 years then moved to Bank of Hawaii where she stayed until she retired in 1995. Pauline loved to sew in her younger years, then moved on to crafts like crocheting, making ribbon lei, flower arrangements, reading romance novels, gardening and remembering all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on their birthdays and special occasions. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband William (July 2018). Pauline is survived by Daughters Willynne (Bob) Patterson, Sharolyn (Abert) Kia, Raynette Ramos and Rhoda (Bob) Armstrong; Sons Russell (Linda) Ramos and Roderic (April) Ramos; 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by Granddaughter Tehani; Parents James and Ellen "Yoshie" Gilman; Brothers James "Takashi" (Charlene) Masuyama, Richard "Teji" Masuyama and James (Chong Im) Gilman III; Sisters Doris (Teruo) Odo, Violet "Masako" (Shigeo) Yamamoto and Kathrine (William) Hall. The Ramos Ohana will be having a Service at Ke'ehi Lagoon Memorial Park - Weinberg Hall on Monday, February 16. Visitation at 9am and Service at 10am. Aloha Attire.
