Richard Sagawa Obituary

RICHARD HIROSHI SAGAWA Richard "Dickie" Hiroshi Sagawa, 83, passed away at Kahala Nui on February 8, 2025. Born Nov. 10, 1941 in Honolulu, he attended Roosevelt High School and the Univ. of Hawaii. He dedicated 40 years to public education in the Hawaii DOE, serving as a teacher, vice-principal, principal and Director of the Hawaii School Leadership Academy. Dickie enjoyed golf, tennis, playing ukulele, gathering with friends and family, and being a fan at his grandkids activities. His creative spirit, generous heart, and warmth will continue to inspire and impact the lives of those he touched. He is survived by his wife, Corinne, children Keri Shimomoto (Paul) and Reid Sagawa (Melanie), grandchildren Tanner, Kaitlyn, Madi and Brody, and brother Allen Sagawa. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 5 at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel. Visitation at 10am, Service at 11:00am. Arrangements Provided By: Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel
