RONALD JIGGY LEVY SAI He Ho'alohaloha No Ko Makou Makua Kane I Aloha Nui 'Ia, Ronald "Jiggy" Levy Sai Sincere regardPlease help us deliver this sad news so that all the family and the multitude of friends of our father, from Hawai'i to Ni'ihau, may know. Our father departed at 5:53 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023, at his home in Kalama'ula, Moloka'i. His efforts here on earth are done, his burdens released. Thus are the words of the Great Book fulfilled: "Dust returns to dust, and the spirit returns to him." Praise His name for He giveth and He taketh away. He was born in Honolulu on October 4, 1937, from the loins of David Kauahi'a'alaiwilani Sai and Evangeline Lihu'e Ikuwa, he just turned 86. He was educated at St. Louis High School, but ended up graduating from Kaimuki High School in 1955. He married Irma Pualani Ching in 1961 and had 5 children: Peter 'Umialiloa (deceased), Kau'i Sai-Dudoit (John), Daniel Kahuapono, Michael Kanoholani (Sherri), and Paul Keonaona. He then married Lee Ann Uluwehi Kakaio in 1977 and had 4 children: Lilinoe Punahele Todd (Makana), Koa Keaka 'Ikuwa (Carly) Nanea Anuhea Alvarez, Ha'aheo Uluwehi Doria (David). He had 30 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. In 1961, he joined the Honolulu Fire Department and retired in 1990 as a Captain; then worked for O'ahu Transit until 1997. In that same year, he became a security guard at Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama campus, until his final retirement in 2013. In closing this beloved remembrance, we all express our gratitude for having been blessed with a good man as our father and are forever thankful for all of those who were a part of his life. We, the children deprived of a father: Kau'i, Duke, Mike, Paul, Puna, Koa, Nanea, and Ha'aheo. His Celebration of Life will be held on January 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Chapel at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama.
