Silverio Bonilla Obituary

SILVERIO SILVA VALDEZ BONILLA Silverio "Silva" Valdez Bonilla, 66, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in his home with his loving family. Silva was born on December 11, 1958, to the late Juana and Sixto Bonilla in San Nicholas, Philippines, but shortly moved to Oahu, Hawaii, at the age of one. After graduating from Farrington High School in 1976, he received his degree in Radiology and established his career as an MRI/CT/X-ray technologist at the Queen's Medical Center for 42 years. Silva faithfully served the Lord and was often involved in various church events and outreaches at Blessed Hope Church and First Assembly of God. Silva was always the first to grab his ukulele, guitar, and piano to start a jam sesh at family parties. In addition to his love for playing music, he enjoyed cycling, fishing, flying RC planes, driving around the island to grab shave ice from the North Shore, and spending time with his wife of 38 years, children, and pet birds. His laughter, generosity, kindness, and selflessness will be truly missed, but never forgotten. Services celebrating the life of Silva will be held on Thursday, May 22, 5:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God (Red Hill) 3400 Moanalua Road, with his lay to eternal rest the following morning on Friday, May 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, 47-200 Kahekili Hwy, Kaneohe.
