Stephen Marn Obituary

STEPHEN MARN, SAMMY Stephen Marn, 90, of Honolulu, died peacefully on November 21, 2025. Visitation will be held on January 31, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Mary, Star of the Sea Church, followed by a Eulogy and then a funeral mass at 11 a.m. Stephen (Steve) was born in Hong Kong and raised in Honolulu. He graduated from St. Louis High School and received a B.A. from the University of Portland. He met his wife Nan at the University of Hawaii while he was working on his Master's degree. Steve was a self-made man who spent most of his career working in the real estate escrow business. He enjoyed traveling the world with Nan, visiting with family, walking with his friends, playing poker, shooting craps in Vegas, watching action movies, and eating 'ono local food. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Marn Chang, his wife of 51 years Nan Marn, and his brother Jerry (Sonny) Marn. He is survived by his children: Carolyn (Randall Taylor) of Sacramento, CA; Brian (Dior Chase) of Altadena, CA and Stephanie of Honolulu; brother Tommy Chan of San Carlos, CA and sister Sandra Partlow of Reno, NV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation (give.kidneyfund.org).
