Condolences to the Malama Ohana. I had the privilege of being with her in Rehabilitation Counseling classes. She was a key Community advocate and part of the Interagency Transition Project 1993-1997 under the University Affiliated Program, AKA Center for Disabilities Studies. Along with Dr. Theodore Woodin, she was one of the pioneer staff members of the Trio Project at Windward Community College.

My deepest condolences to all of Yvette´s loved ones. I have known Yvette for many years. She was my dearest friend and neighbor. We would meet outside to talk or talk on the phone many times a week for hours about her husband Vern, and her children and grandchildren. She loved them all very much. She had a beautiful smile and I can still remember the sound of her voice and laughter. She is greatly missed, and she will always be in my heart.
