ALBERT TAKEO NAGATA Albert Takeo Nagata, 92, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on September 8, 2023. Born in Honolulu to Tsuruhei and Kiyome Nagata, he was a graduate of Farrington High School, University of Hawaii, and Penn State University. He was a dedicated educator and went on to become the principal at Wilcox Elementary School. He later transferred to the Department of Education's District Offi ce where he worked as a Curriculum Specialist. After retiring he enjoyed traveling to Japan, Europe and many cities in the U.S., especially Las Vegas. He also enjoyed going deep sea fishing and golfi ng, and loved watching samurai movies. He was preceded in death by his wife Chiseko Fujimoto Nagata, brothers Donald, Robert, Frank, William, and Jack Nagata, sister Doris Nakanishi. He is survived by his sons, Craig Nagata and Jon (Ann) Nagata, grand-daughter Kelcie (Bryant Murakami) Nagata, brothers James (Katherine) Nagata, and Paul Nagata Sr. Private services were held.
