Aloha Jan and the entire Kaloi ohana,
I´m so sorry for your loss. I knew Alex since we were seven years old; we met in second grade at Our Lady of Sorrows school, then onto LHS and kind of loss touch as he moved onto UH and I went to Chaminade. Every once in awhile we´d bump into each other in Wahiawa. Alex was always a very good, kind person and lived Aloha. To his grandchildren, your grandpa was the best and loved you very much. Please take care of yourselves during this difficult time. Alex will truly be missed.

My deepest condolences to Jan and the ohana. I knew both Alex and Jan from our days at Leilehua High School in Wahiawa. He was perhaps the greatest athlete the "Mighty Mules" ever had. I was co-chairman of the Homecoming Committee our senior year and Jan was our Homecoming Queen. I was so happy when I heard that Alex had married her. They were the "Campus Couple". Many memories of Alex on the football field. He was an extraordinary athlete. May rest in peace and aloha. May the Lord bless and hold him in his arms. I know he is on the heavenly football field. Jan you and the ohana are in my prayers and thoughts during this time of sadness. God bless you.
