Brian Ho Obituary

BRIAN HO, CHIP Brian "Chip" Ho passed away on May 17, 2023, at 54 years of age after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Dale and Karen Ho and is survived by his son, Jasper Ho, mother Karen Ho, Jennifer Wood and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Chip was incredibly proud of his son, a student at University of British Columbia and graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute, Chip's alma mater. Chip was always someone people could count on, whether it was tech support, garage sales, borrowing his truck, teaching you to surf, or simply getting his thoughts and advice, he was there for you. Throughout his life, he was an avid runner, cyclist, hiker, and surfer. Chip had a quick wit and sharp sense of humor, and boy was he smart. He was a life-long learner--everything from lock picking, to growing peppers and extracting capsaicin, to pig hunting and real estate investing, he wanted to know everything about any project he took on. He was an employee of Cisco for over 22 years, and enjoyed trading stories with coworkers, and figuring out the challenges of his role. He was loved deeply by so many people. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Moanalua Gardens from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Mid Pacific Institute.
