Robert Koike Obituary

ROBERT SUSUMU KOIKE October 04, 1932 - July 31, 2024 Robert/Sus/Bob passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024 at the Queen's Hospital. He was born in Haleiwa, Oahu and was the only child of the late Robert T. Koike and Helen Miura Koike. He attended Mid Pacific Institute where he played basketball and baseball and graduated with a BBA from the University of Hawaii. As a commissioned officer, he served in the US Army as a Confidential Courier based in Paris, France. After completion of his military tour of duty, he attended Northwestern University in Illinois and received an MBA. Robert/Sus/Bob's employment career included employment with Dean Witter Securities, Nomura Securities in Japan and San Francisco, State of Hawaii Airports Division, PUC and retired from the State Tax Department as Manager, Research and Planning. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Nakamura Koike and son Brent Koike. Funeral services will be held at Hosoi Mortuary on October 19, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
