To Joy and Family: Dean was a good friend and contributed so much to our State and the people of Hawaii. My family and I purchased a tree in his name to memorialize his life. With love and deepest sympathy. Aloha, Susie Chun Oakland

I will miss you my friend. We had a lot of good memories from days gone by. You taught me how to fish, tying sugi line so wouldn´t break when I caught a fish. Catching the bus to town to catch a movie or hang out at Ala Moana shopping center. The good old days. Aloha Oe my friend.
