Faye Morimoto Obituary

FAYE SANAE MORIMOTO 80, of Hawaii Kai, passed away on September 27, 2023. She was born on August 30, 1943 in Honolulu to Royce and Florence (Ishii) Nishioka. Faye is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary; sons, Marc and Scott (Denise); grandchildren, Daley and Kyla, and sister, Joyce (Gaylord) Pang. She was a graduate of Kaimuki High School (1961), University of Hawaii (1965 BEd), and San Francisco State University (1966 MEd). She began her teaching career in Long Island, New York before returning to Honolulu where she taught until she retired, primarily at the Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind and Waikiki School. A memorial service will be held on November 20, 2023 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary with visitation beginning at 5 pm and services at 6 pm with reception to follow.
