Gerd Cobb-Adams Obituary

GERD KAANOHIOKALA COBB-ADAMS Honi Cobb-Adams, 70, of Kamuela, Hawai'i, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Kaiser Moanalua Hospital. Born on March 23rd, 1953 in Honolulu to the late Smith and Geraldine Cobb-Adams, Honi grew up in Ka'ohao, Oahu. His siblings included brothers Jimmy, John Odion, Gus, Guy, Gerry and sisters Gertrude and Elizabeth. He played football for Kailua High School and paddled for Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club. He developed a career as an auto mechanic and later expanded his mechanic career into becoming a heavy-equipment diesel mechanic and then heavy equipment operator for companies such as Pacific Construction, Fletcher Pacific and Koga Engineering. Honi spent most of his adulthood in Kaneohe before moving to Kona, and then Kamuela. He is survived by his wife, Alexis Cobb-Adams, and children Kamuela Cobb-Adams (Carissa), Uilani Kanda (Jacob) and Sundae Yomes along with beloved grandchildren Alana, Christian, Kilihune, Makai, Callie, Kealia and Ka'onohi. Siblings: Gerry Cobb-Adams (Heidi) and Kehau Kaho'okano (Allan). Nieces: Kawohi, Kanoe, Kawai. Nephews: Gusty, Jimmy, Kaulana, Ka'ai, Marc, Sammy, Ka'onohi and Keona. Honi's Celebration of Life will be held at He'eia Banquet Hall (Ulu Mau Village) in Kaneohe on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Service will begin at 4:00 pm with pa'ina to follow.
