Glenn Hamada Obituary

GLENN KENICHI HAMADA Glenn K. Hamada, age 73, of Kailua, Oahu, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023. Glenn was born on November 29, 1949, to Kenso and Helen Hamada. He graduated from Farrington High School, Honolulu Community College, and the University of Hawaii. As an architect for Architects 2 and later for Projects Plus Inc., Glenn's creativity and knowledge of construction regulations led him to successfully design many buildings and residences and to oversee construction projects. Glenn was known for his loving and generous nature and deep love for family. He is survived by his wife Junko, son Jimmy, brother Lester, sister Jennie (Rhude), nieces Jerrilyn (Tim) and Julie, grandnephew Titus and grandniece Abigail, his dog Lucky, aunts, and cousins. Glenn loved tennis, diving, hiking, traveling, and gourmet cooking. After his retirement he enjoyed gardening and home repairs. Kind and always considerate of the best interests of others, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary, East Chapel.
