HIRAM DEFRIES-SARONITMAN Hiram's life was a beacon of passion, love, and boundless potential, touching all who knew him. Born on November 1, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center and baptized at Ka Makua Mau Loa Church on O'ahu, Hiram belonged to the 'aina of Papakolea, Kewalo, and Kalawahine, where his roots were firmly grounded in the rich traditions and values of his heritage. His connection to his homeland and culture were sources of strength, pride, and inspiration throughout his life. Hiram's educational journey began at Kawaiaha'o Preschool, continued through Ke Kula Kaiapuni 'o Anuenue, transitioned to Mid-Pacific Institute before joining the Punahou School 'ohana. At Punahou, he excelled both on and off the field, lettering in football and baseball. After graduating in 2020, Hiram pursued his passions for academics and athletics at Saddleback College, where he earned a spot on the Academic All-State Football Team and was honored as Bobcat of the Year. After achieving his Associate of Arts degree, Hiram returned home to continue his education at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, eventually soaring the skies upon receiving his commercial pilot license in 2023. 'Ohana was the cornerstone of Hiram's life. He deeply cherished his sisters, Jemme and Alexis, creating memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of those who loved him. Hiram deeply admired his grandparents, Hiram and Trudi, whose wisdom and love provided the foundation for his values and inspired his lifelong commitment to caring for others. Above all, he was an extraordinary son to Jed and Tamar, whose unwavering love and guidance nurtured his compassionate heart, resilient spirit, and unyielding dedication to 'ohana and community. Hiram found true love with NaleoOlokahi Faurot deFries-Saronitman, sharing a bond as deep and vibrant as their island roots. Together, they dreamed, laughed, and loved in a way that was unmistakable to all who knew them. Though his life was tragically cut short, Hiram leaves behind a legacy of love and aloha. He taught us to pursue our dreams, treasure 'ohana, and nd true happiness in love. His spirit will forever remain a guiding light, inspiring us to live each day with love, purpose, and gratitude. Hiram's 'ohana extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support. Your kindness and presence have brought immense comfort, serving as a testament to the beauty and love Hiram shared with the world, and they welcome all who would like to share in celebrating his life.
