Lincoln Uyeno Obituary

LINCOLN ISAO UYENO February 12, 1932 - September 13, 2023 Lincoln Isao Uyeno, 91, of Manoa, Hawaii, died peacefully on September 13, 2023 at Kuakini Hale Pulama Mau and received care from Bristol Hospice care also. He was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii to Katsuki and Hatsuyo Uyeno on February 12, 1932. The family moved to Waipahu, Hawaii when he was a youngster. He graduated from Waipahu HIgh School in 1950. His passion was playing baseball throughout his life. He excelled as a pitcher. He played in high school, community leagues, and in the US Army, where he served after graduating from high school. After fulfilling his service obligation, he coached many youths in community leagues as well as an assistant coach at Iolani School. He married his wife, Jean M. Kondo and had one child, a son, Grant. Both of them predeceased him, as well as his parents and three siblings. He is survived by one sister, Irene Thomas and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Kuakini Hale Pulama Mau for the kindness and excellent care he received. Private services held. No monetary gifts please!
