Richard Nishihara Obituary

RICHARD G. NISHIHARA Richard G. Nishihara, 95, of Honolulu passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023. He was born in Keahua, Maui and moved to Oahu in July of 1941. He graduated from Kaimuki High School in 1946 and the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1952. He had a successful career as an insurance agent working concurrently with Prudential Insurance Company (56 years of service) and Atlas Insurance Agency (36 years of service). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed golf as a hobby. His golf accomplishments include two holes-in-one and three eagles. He is survived by Jocelyn, a loving and caring wife of 65 years, children, Janice (Ed) Wohlleb of San Francisco, Ron (Carrie), and Karen (Bob) Mosgrave of Kirkland, Washington. He is also survived by grandson, Daniel Mosgrave, brother Kenneth (Myrna) and sister Nancy (Roy, deceased) Tokuda, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Private services were held.
