RICHARD YUTAKA UYEHARA It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Uyehara, who died on March 20, 2023. Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born on March 31, 1958, Richard was the son of Walter and Kay Uyehara. Richard spent the majority of his career working at Oahu Plumbing. Richard was a man of many interests and passions, including sports, family, and hanging out with friends. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid sports fan, especially of the University of Hawaii football team. Above all, Richard, also known as Uncle Rico, will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Alison, his two children, Sean and Brenden, and his two grandchildren, Isabella and Makena who were the light of his life. Richard's family will hold a service in his memory. Richard will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
