Adeline Kinjo Obituary

ADELINE EIKO KINJO Adeline Eiko Kinjo, 93, a retired office manager at the Hawaii Visitors Bureau passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025 at her home in Aiea, HI. Born on June 22,1932 in Honolulu, HI. Ade was a beloved mother, aunty and true friend who was cherished by family and friends alike for her warmth, generosity, and kindness. She was the youngest of four children and was a proud graduate of McKinley High School. Ade loved the simple joys of life providing compassionate care for her family and family dogs, sewing which she excelled at, home baking, extensive reading, and being a devoted collector of treasured keepsakes. Preceded in death by her parents Shigeharu and Mitsuko A Kinjo, sisters Bessie S Takara, Emiko (Dr. Takashi) Tanimukai of Japan and brother Martin H Kinjo. Adeline is survived by her only child Michael T Kinjo her beloved son whom she raised with unwavering love and strength as a single parent, brother-in-law Seikichi (Kathryn) Takara, niece Sharon M Takara and nephews Seiryn (Rachel) Takara, Dr. Perry (Misao) Tanimukai and Ben (Terumi) Tanimukai of Japan. Adeline will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, gentle quiet warmth, exceptional kindness, and genuine aloha she shared with all the lives she touched. Private Inurnment service was held at Diamond Head Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
