Barbara Britos Obituary

BARBARA EIKO BRITOS Barbara Eiko Britos was born on January 30, 1937 in Honolulu to Michio Hirasa and Haruko (Tokairin) Hirasa. She was the eldest of three children. Her two brothers are Richard Hirasa (deceased) and Michael Hirasa. Barbara grew up in Nuuanu on Rosebank Place. She was a proud graduate of Sacred Hearts Convent in Nuuanu and Sacred Hearts Academy in Kaimuki. She attended the University of Hawaii. After college, she met her husband, Paul Britos, while working in Japan employed by the US Army. She later returned to Hawaii and worked at Ft. Shafter then for the Hawaii Army National Guard at Diamond Head completing her working career at Kapiolani Community College. Barbara and Paul had two children, Jaye Britos and Dean Britos. Dean's two children, Noah Britos and Lucas Britos, held a special place in their grandmother's heart. We will miss our friend, wife, sister, auntie, grandmother, and mother dearly. We will miss get togethers for Easter, Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas. We will miss Sunday dinners at grandma's house. She was a very special person. The family would like to thank all who have shared their love and support in this difficult time and would welcome all those who would like to pay their respects at the funeral. Services will be held at Hosoi Mortuary on November 4, 2023 with visitation to start at 9:30am and a Catholic service at 10:30am. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
