Clara Yamashiro Obituary

CLARA CHIZU YAMASHIRO Clara Chizu Yamashiro (ne? Miyashiro), 94, of Honolulu, Hawaii, fell asleep in death on November 1, 2025. Clara was born in Kona, Hawaii and grew up in a plantation camp as the youngest of 9 children. The family later moved to Oahu, where she graduated from the University of Hawaii. She married Matsuo Yamashiro in 1955, eventually moving to southern California, where she began a lifelong study of the Bible. For over 60 years she devoted her life to her God Jehovah, teaching Bible truths to others, serving in both English and Japanese congregations. She also volunteered on various construction and other projects related to her Christian ministry. She was predeceased by her husband and siblings. She is survived by her four daughters. At her request, there will be no memorial service.
