George Teramoto Obituary

GEORGE M. TERAMOTO 92, of Honolulu, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 and is eternally with our Lord in Heaven. Born on April 4, 1931, George graduated from McKinley High School in 1949. He earned B.S. degrees at the University of Hawaii and the University of Illinois. He also earned an M.S. degree from the University of Southern California. An Army Veteran, George worked as a Civil Engineer retiring at Pearl Harbor PACDIV in 1997. George was a long time member of Olivet Baptist Church serving as a Deacon for many years. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii Baptist Academy. George loved traveling the world with Claire and enjoyed both Sumie painting and floral arranging. George is survived by wife Claire; sons Craig (Jean), Ron (Laurie), and Michael (Tristen); grandchildren Kyla (Jared), Kelsey (Dan), Jaron, Stephanie (Christian), and Daniel; and great-grandchildren Micah and Karyssa. He is predeceased by siblings Gene Hamano, Gladys Kashiwaeda, Edward, and Wallace. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Olivet Baptist Church, 1775 S. Beretania St. Visitation begins at 2:00 p.m. and service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Aloha attire. A private inurnment service will be conducted on Monday, September. 18, 2023 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl Cemetery). Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
